Timothy V. Kyger, D.D.S.
Dr. Timothy V. Kyger is a 1978 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He also received his BS degree in Biology from OSU in 1975. Dr. Tim Kyger has been in practice in Gallipolis since 1978 and practices with his wife, Dr. Billie Sue Kyger. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Rehwinkel Dental Society, and a fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Tim believes the profession of dentistry has truly undergone a broad transformation. Today, dentistry is very high tech, science based, patient oriented and service committed. He and his wife, Dr. Billie Sue Kyger, believe in providing the highest quality of care in a comfortable and friendly environment. Ethics is of utmost importance as we provide oral health care and preserve beautiful smiles.
In addition to Dr. Timothy Kyger's professional commitments, he has been extremely active in the community. Tim has served as treasurer for Operation Liftoff of Ohio, a wish granting organization for children, as well as a member of the Gallipolis City School Board since 1992. He has worked hard to provide quality education and a positive future for the children of our area. He also serves as trustee at The University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College. Additionally, Tim has served as treasurer, council member, and currently teaches adult Bible study Sunday morning at New Life Lutheran Church. Dr. Tim enjoys serving others to make our community a better place to live.
Billie Sue Kyger, D.D.S.
Dr. Billie Sue Kyger is a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She also received her pharmacy degree from OSU in 1979 and holds an Ohio license in both professions. Dr. Billie Sue enjoys working with her husband, Dr. Timothy Kyger, and is very proud of all the dental team members in her office. "Our staff is extremely talented and committed to excellence both in clinical care and patient service. We emphasize continuing education, professionalism, and the utilization of technology to enhance our clinical practice. Providing quality oral health care in a comfortable and friendly environment is not just our goal, it is our purpose."
In addition to Dr. Kyger's practice commitment, her leadership skills have taken her to many state and national positions. She was appointed by Governor Taft and Governor Strickland respectively to serve on the Ohio State Dental Board from 2004 until 2011. She served as president of the board in 2010. Also, Dr. Kyger has been President of the Ohio Dental Association in 2003 and President of the OSU College of Dentistry Alumni Association from 1992-1993. Additionally, she has been a delegate to both the Ohio Dental Association and the American Dental Association and has served on both the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and the Council on Dental Practice, which she chaired. She is a fellow in the American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Most recently, she has been chosen by the Commission on Dental Accreditation as a predoctoral site consultant. Finally, Dr. Kyger will be recognized at the Ohio Dental Association 2011 Annual Meeting as the ODA Distinguished Dentist. She currently serves as trustee for the American Dental Association in Ohio and Indiana, District 7. Dr. Kyger has a strong commitment to professional service and giving back to the community.
